萬向聯(lián)軸器采用十字軸承聯(lián)接兩端聯(lián)接法蘭，可以傳遞完全不在同一軸線的扭矩，對(duì)角向的補(bǔ)償可達(dá)25?以上，采用花鍵聯(lián)接可以大距離地補(bǔ)償軸向位移。萬向軸承載能力高，傳動(dòng)效率優(yōu)異，在現(xiàn)代工業(yè)領(lǐng)域被廣泛采用。

SWP十字萬向聯(lián)軸器采用剖分式叉頭布局，與SWC十字萬向聯(lián)軸器使用的場合相近，主要運(yùn)用在重載大型裝備領(lǐng)域，回轉(zhuǎn)直徑可達(dá)1200mm。

SWC十字萬向聯(lián)軸器采用整體式叉頭布局，主要用于軋鋼機(jī)械，起重運(yùn)輸機(jī)械等其他重型裝備領(lǐng)域，回轉(zhuǎn)直徑可到1600mm，扭矩傳遞距離可達(dá)30m以上，是運(yùn)用相當(dāng)廣泛的萬向聯(lián)軸器。

萬向節(jié)聯(lián)軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應(yīng)在十字軸萬向聯(lián)軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個(gè)位置進(jìn)行。十字軸式萬向聯(lián)軸器聯(lián)接的機(jī)泵在安裝過程中都不可避免地要進(jìn)行同軸度的調(diào)整，使對(duì)輪既同心又平行，否則將影響機(jī)泵使用效率或造成設(shè)備運(yùn)行事故。

扭力限制器又名扭矩限制器、力矩限制器、BMOOM限制器等，其價(jià)格便宜、結(jié)構(gòu)簡單、方便拆裝維護(hù)、過載后反應(yīng)速度快、設(shè)定扭矩精確度高、使用壽命更長，配一個(gè)微型開關(guān)過載后能輸出電信號(hào)以方便報(bào)警或自動(dòng)停掉電機(jī)。扭力聯(lián)軸器廣泛應(yīng)用于電子裝備行業(yè)、自動(dòng)化生產(chǎn)線、輸送機(jī)行業(yè)等。

扭矩聯(lián)軸器是聯(lián)接主動(dòng)機(jī)與工作機(jī)的一種部件，主要功能為過載保護(hù)，力矩聯(lián)軸器是當(dāng)超載或機(jī)械故障而導(dǎo)致所需扭矩超過設(shè)定值時(shí)，它以打滑形式限制傳動(dòng)系統(tǒng)所傳動(dòng)的扭力，打滑的同時(shí)也能一個(gè)信號(hào)輸出停掉電機(jī)和減速機(jī)，當(dāng)過載情形消失后自行恢復(fù)聯(lián)結(jié)。

扭矩安全聯(lián)軸器螺帽或螺栓調(diào)整彈簧力，預(yù)設(shè)其滑動(dòng)扭矩。按工作原理可分為摩擦式扭矩限制器和鋼球式扭矩限制器(滾珠式扭矩限制器)，安全離合器應(yīng)用范圍:電子裝備行業(yè)、自動(dòng)化生產(chǎn)線、輸送機(jī)行業(yè)等。

靠背輪聯(lián)軸器用來將不同機(jī)構(gòu)中的主動(dòng)軸和從動(dòng)軸牢固地聯(lián)接起來一同旋轉(zhuǎn)，并傳遞運(yùn)動(dòng)和扭矩的機(jī)械部件。有時(shí)也用以聯(lián)接軸與其他零件（如齒輪、帶輪等）。

靠背輪常由兩半合成，分別用鍵或緊配合等聯(lián)接，緊固在兩軸端，再通過某種方式將兩半聯(lián)接起來。

靠背輪聯(lián)軸器可兼有補(bǔ)償兩軸之間由于制造安裝不精確、工作時(shí)的變形或熱膨脹等原因所發(fā)生的偏移（包括軸向偏移、徑向偏移、角偏移或綜合偏移）；以及緩和沖擊、吸振。

靠背輪為俗稱，專業(yè)叫法為聯(lián)軸器以及法蘭，用于機(jī)械設(shè)備的連接。
